Meet the artist:
Hi! My name is Linda Lewis. I am an artist from Montgomery, AL. Though calling myself an artist feels strange. Most days I lack even an ounce of creativity. I try to relax and read, or play a game. Other days I am obsessively trying to recreate an image from a fading memory of a dream. I started painting in high school. My dad encouraged me. I had messed up some project and he encouraged me to turn my mistake into something beautiful. I wasn't all that great in the beginning. However I can say that I have improved greatly over the years through practice, patience, and observation of other artists. My dad has always been my number one supporter. Thanks, Pops. I use acrylic paint because it's simple, blends well, and dries quickly. I took a liking to the multi-color painting style after spotting the work of an Australian artist, Kath Dunne. I was really attracted to the manipulation of the colors for contrast and shading and began implementing that style into my art. Painting helps me appreciate the energy and beauty of the world around me. Thanks for reading! #ROAMWILD
