About the Event
About Chad Street: The son of a John Deere working man, Chad Street’s down-home musical roots run deep. From the time he was 7 and singing into his first microphone, Chad knew he was hooked. Whether it was in his momma’s living room or the back of his daddy’s pick-up truck, as long as there was at least one extra set of ears to listen, he would sing and play his heart out.
Born and raised in Dothan, Alabama, Chad’s earliest musical influences included Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty and George Strait, among others. From the age of 15 on, he performed whenever and wherever he could - wrestling matches, local festivals and early morning tv shows.
At 17 he’d put together his first band and began making the rounds on the bar circuit. Soon he was playing for crowds from 30 to 30,000 and anywhere in between. Word got around and quick: this kid was no fluke - he meant business and had the voice to back it up.
Over the past decade Chad has had the good fortune to play with or open for some of the biggest names in country music : Keith Urban, Emerson Drive, Blake Shelton, Wade Hayes, Merle Haggard, David Allan Coe and Darryl Worley, just to name a few.
He’s been a contestant in numerous musical competitions, coming in in the top 5 out of 100 in the Wiregrass Star competition and winning Best Male Vocalist in a national vocal competition in Las Vegas, Nevada. Being a former Pro Wrestler standing 6'5 Chad will have your attention on and off the stage, and if you’re looking for a musical experience like no other, you’ve found it, and his name is Chad Street.
