About the Event
The Take the Day Back concert is a heartfelt annual tribute honoring the life and sacrifice of U.S. Army Major Dwayne Williams, a Jacksonville, Alabama native who tragically died in the Pentagon terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.
Now in its second year, the 2025 concert continues its mission: to turn a day of tragedy into one of remembrance, unity, and purpose. Proceeds from the event support two legacies that carry Major Williams’ name and spirit forward:
-A bronze bust of Major Williams at the Alabama Fallen Warriors Monument in Trussville
-The Major Dwayne Williams Memorial Scholarship at Jacksonville State University
This free, family-friendly tribute concert will feature:
Rob Langford as Elvis Presley – Rob is a nationally recognized Elvis tribute artist and U.S. Army veteran who served under Major Williams’ command
