Shoebox Float Contest

• Float must be made of a cardboard shoebox no larger than 13” x 9”. • A complete decorated float should not exceed 16 1/2 inches tall. • Do not put wheels on float. • Do not put float on truck body. • Do not put shoebox on a piece of cardboard larger than shoebox. • Do not use motorized toys on float. • Do not use anything edible on float. • Only one applicant per float. • DO NOT BUILD INSIDE of the BOX (NO DIORAMA FLOATS). • NAMES and AGES ARE TO BE PLACED ONLY ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FLOATS. • FLOATS USING A PICTURE OF THE APPLICANT AS DECORATION WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

Failure to comply with these rules as stated above will lead to disqualification.

Samples of Materials: Paper-mache, cloth, foil, fringe, petal paper, etc. Most craft stores have a wide variety of things you can use. Let your imagination soar.

Anyone participating in this contest by way of entry, hereby agrees and consents to the use of any picture of contestant in any or all publications, TV, publicity brochure, internet, etc., that the Ferus Artisan Ales may desire.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY: Completed floats must be brought to Ferus Artisan Ales anytime during hours of operation on the 10th of February please give float to staff member working.

Please include name, telephone number, and age on bottom of float (ONLY ON THE BOTTOM.)

All entries will be on display at Ferus Artisan Ales on Sunday February 11th in the private event space. 12-3PM

Participants will be responsible for picking up their entries on the 12th and 13th during operation hours or the float will be thrown away. We (Ferus Artisan Ales) are not responsible for any damages to your float.

Group I: 10 and under (winner gets $25 gift card to 5 Below) Group II: 10-18 (winner gets $50 gift card to 5 Below) Group III: 18+ (winner gets $200 gift card to Ferus Artisan Ales)

Judging Criteria: •Originality •Neatness •Overall Appearance •Craftsmanship •Use of Materials

Please make sure that your float is appropriate. Any float that is not considered family friendly will be disqualified.
