Carlos Pino Jazz Trio

Carlos was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1973. He remembers walking through the French Quarter and enjoying the jazz music on the street. He grew up in a musical household where his mother played guitar, sang and played other South American instruments. His early childhood inspired him to pursue music as he grew up. Carlos took music classes and played in the high school orchestra and choir at the Altamont school in Birmingham, AL. He also played in garage bands.

He continued his music education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he graduated in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in music technology. Carlos then moved on to achieve a Master’s of Music specializing in Jazz at Rutgers University in New Jersey in 2003. Carlos has studied with several notable musicians. Since 2003, Carlos has taught, recorded and performed music professionally.
